A brief introduction:
What Kemi Wore is a fashion and business blog written from the inside of a well-studied, well-traveled life. It covers fashion the way a thoughtful person experiences it: as a lens on place, intention, and the subtly-stitched stories clothes carry. I don’t pursue trend cycles or chase brand deals: these are my unrushed takes on what fashion means right now.
This isn’t a space where fashion lives rent-free. We wrestle with the messy whys, the philosophies shaping industry, the politics of beauty, the style codes of so-called ‘tastemakers’.
I approach fashion as a living system—one that is aesthetic, ethical, and economic all at once. Expect curated outfits and insider links, but also the stories, debates, and insights that make what we wear meaningful. Stay awhile if you enjoy:
Global gold: The most interesting fashion conversations aren’t happening here, they’re happening everywhere — and most of the time they aren't in English.
Contemplative consumption: Style with an opinion on how and why we shop.
Shifting threads: The movements, people, and brands quietly disrupting the way fashion moves and rewriting the ‘fashion success story’.
At home and away: Where and how we live the lives we dress for. A passport is recommended.
Views and opinions are my own, all writings are mine. The perspective is singular, but the subject is always bigger than me.
Who is Kemi?
A well-dressed babe living her best life as a one-foot-in, one-foot-out fashion writer, stylist, personal shopper, consumer, and wardrobe experimentalist. As a reader, you’ll find out what she wore and, more importantly, discover her ~theories~ on fashion, business, culture, and more. She doesn’t know what she’s going to wear tomorrow, but she has been tracking each OOTD for the past 998-ish days.
